One Day At A Time

Does anxiety add a cubits span to our life? If the answer is yes, then our ancestors would still be among the living. Why is it so difficult to live a day without worries?

With each passing day, we struggle with life that we begin to wonder if there’s another life after this one. We search for inspirational quotes to give us hope. The Popular Nigerian singer ‘Asa’, describes the land as being green, is the land truly green?

Daily as we live, the thought of living for the next day struck us with much anxiety that we sometimes don’t wish to wake from our night's rest.

Living a peaceful life for many doesn’t come with ease but for it to be achieved, troubles of the world must come first, and afterward comes peace. Umpteen times we get swept away by our anxiety that we forget the tiny things that matter to us. Is the world so complicated that all we do is be anxious about the next minute? If life is that complicated, why can’t we just live one day at a time?

Through the passage of my life, I have learned, that the power of positive association is so much stronger than any amount of negativity in the world. No matter how dark it is, a tiny beam of light is all it takes to kill the darkest of darkness. - Author: Asma Naqi.

I do believe that there’s no gain in being anxious about tomorrow. We need to inculcate the habit of learning to live each day as it comes to us. The birds and lilies are not worried about what they will eat because they know there’s a Heavenly Father(GOD) that cares and provides for them.

We all have good days and bad days, and the most important thing is to make the best out of each day, regardless of the good or bad. Ultimately, we only have one life to live.

The thought of having to do what others say scares us to death. Why do you care about what everyone says when it’s certain that they can’t live your life? As far as your life is concerned, people’s opinions shouldn’t shake you from your toe.

Don’t worry about everybody else. The whole world is full of ‘everybody else,’ you know that? But only a few make a significant achievement.” - Ben Carson.

Be rest assured that we are all entitled to our own opinion, the very reason our parents named us differently. Be true to who you are. Stop trying to please other people or to be someone else. It’s better to be an original version of yourself rather than be an exact duplicate of someone else (it won’t last).

Live every day on a fresh new start. Don’t be held back by what happened yesterday, the day before, week, year, or even decades ago. Life is short, so live in the present.
