A God Figure

Image
Drawing from our previous post that has to do with gratitude which is very paramount in our life journey, it's also worthy to note that you can't move an inch in your journey if the God figure is struck out.  One thing I hold strong is the belief that God is everywhere like the air we breathe. He hears us no matter how we hum or mumble at our words. He hears and understands us, He does.  I have realized that even when everyone is gone, God stays right there. He stays, and he waits patiently and walks with us through that problems.  I seldom make friends because I feel some are not worth being called one but if there's one person I call my friend then it's God. The friend who never stabs and denies His bestie.  It's sacrosanct that we include that God figure into our daily activities. Know Him and He will reciprocate. Search Him and He will reciprocate. Love Him and He will surely reciprocate. He is God, He is God and He is God.

Growth

If there's one thing that is inevitable in your life journey then it is GROWTH. With each passing day, you learn to grow and mature into another version of yourself.  Growth comes in different forms, From infant to Adulthood growth occurs. In the course of your growth, you will begin to have passion for certain things as well as dreams of becoming a star.  Growth happens to us without our knowledge, it's natural. It's what nature has to offer us.  As you grow, you learn the good and bad and the hard way of life. As you grow, you begin to make certain decisions that could either make or mar your future.  As you grow from childhood to adulthood you begin to see the difference between fantasies and reality, and I guess at this point, you realize that your life all along has been built on fantasies.  When life’s reality hits you hard in the course of your growth, one thing you should never do is underestimate the power you have to take your life in a new direction....

Gratitude

Image
There’s a popular saying that says “You don’t know what you have until you lose it” which strikes me with inner reflection. Am I grateful for what I have? Am I really grateful?  So here's a question from me to you.  Why are you an ungrateful person? Do you think it is by your might and strength that you get to see another day?  Why have you allowed yourself to be thrown into sorrows and anxiety by your inability to be wealthy that you forget to say thank you for the little you have achieved and the breath you have? Must every day of your life be about becoming wealthy and accomplishing greatness? Every now and then you nag and lament over little things. Even when you make and accomplish little you still nag. Obviously, humans are insatiable creatures. Hey, hey, have you gone out? Have you taken your time to visit those in the hospital? Let's not even talk about those in the morgue. Have you been to the street? The bridges, the dustbin? Have you gone out? I don't think so,...

The Big Question

Image
Dear Future, My plans are too many to be neglected. The zeal to achieve more is just killing me and I can't seem to put aside what I presume I'm capable of. I fear that my tomorrow will definitely be great but now, the big question is, what do I want for myself? The question of what I want and what I want to do hunt me down with displeasure. Why? You may ask. But, my answer to that question is, “I don't know”. You don't what?   Yes! “I don’t know”. I know it sounds crazy but it comes with inner displeasure. I just can't seem to pick one out of many talents and skills.  Well, if you my dear are thinking what I’m thinking, then you need to take a chill pill. Yes! You need one.  The thought of not knowing what you want can be exasperating. It can also be frustrating, but hey! LOOK INSIDE OF YOU. The thought of doing many things will come but as long as those things are not what you love doing, it will only be for a short period. You know, life can be funny at times, do...

A Chance

Image
Everyday is an opportunity to explore new things, new talents, and set new goals. I love to explore and try out things that are way bigger than me.   Not everyone is opportune to be born with a silver spoon but even without having a silver spoon in our mouth, we can still choose to fight our way through.  Growing up has never been easy, especially when you have to cater for yourself. I wish I had been given a chance to explore when I was a child. I wish I had my parent's eyes on everything I did when I was a child, I guess I would have been better at what I do now.  I could remember how I struggled to read and write in my primary school days. How I had to resit a class when my parents changed my school, all because I couldn't read the alphabetical letters correctly. How can a six-year-old be that dumb but yet always comes out with the first position in class?  My inability to do something in my childhood has lessened my inner strength. I could remember how my SS2 mat...

Purpose

Image
Our strong will to do something must supersede our fears. In a world where everyone is trying to make a place for themselves and make a means, in a world full of so many voices, we seem to forget what we are called to do.   Your life purpose consists of the central motivating aims of your life—the reasons you get up in the morning. The world we are in today, cannot be compared to that of our forefathers. This generation just wants to live for today and not care what their decision will result in the next minute.  There's this cliche which I don't know if it's outdated or not, “if you can't beat them, you join them”. This saying has thrown many of our young ones into the ruling party. Is it so difficult to want to stand alone? Everyone wants to belong not minding who gets hurt and the outcome. We seem to forget that we were brought to this world for a purpose.  Many people are already on their way to doom because they have in one way or the other missed their purpos...
