Dream

Image
Albert Einstein emphasized the importance of sticking to what you want to do, even when others think it's 'unrealistic'. "The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts.”  A dream is the most essential thing in one's life. It’s a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal. Our dreams of becoming great in life can be very powerful because it serves as a push for our success.  As we progress in our life journey, it is paramount that you have a dream. Dream helps you achieve any goal that you want to achieve . It is very important in life. They motivate, inspire, improve and help you in achieving any goal that you want to achieve. In Martin Luther King’s ‘I Have a Dream he says “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today”. Dreams are very important and as a person, if you don’t have a dream i...

Focus

Image
“Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures— JACK CANFIELD” We often get stuck in the routine of life, often missing a deeper connection with things that are quite essential to our life journey. As a person, I love to daydream. I can daydream about anything, I can even daydream of my wedding.    Aside from my fantasies, most times I get carried away by other people’s success that I fail to notice that I’m gifted. One thing that troubles us in our life journey is our inability to pay attention. Lack of attention can be vexatious especially when you have cooked up plans of becoming a celebrity in your head. Lack of concentration can be one hell of a problem and it can trigger you to miss your paths. Most people find it difficult to focus on things that they know how to do best, sometimes, it could be as a result of low self-esteem or ridicule from people, or...

A God Figure

Image
Drawing from our previous post that has to do with gratitude which is very paramount in our life journey, it's also worthy to note that you can't move an inch in your journey if the God figure is struck out.  One thing I hold strong is the belief that God is everywhere like the air we breathe. He hears us no matter how we hum or mumble at our words. He hears and understands us, He does.  I have realized that even when everyone is gone, God stays right there. He stays, and he waits patiently and walks with us through that problems.  I seldom make friends because I feel some are not worth being called one but if there's one person I call my friend then it's God. The friend who never stabs and denies His bestie.  It's sacrosanct that we include that God figure into our daily activities. Know Him and He will reciprocate. Search Him and He will reciprocate. Love Him and He will surely reciprocate. He is God, He is God and He is God.

Growth

Image
If there's one thing that is inevitable in your life journey then it is GROWTH. With each passing day, you learn to grow and mature into another version of yourself.  Growth comes in different forms, From infant to Adulthood growth occurs. In the course of your growth, you will begin to have passion for certain things as well as dreams of becoming a star.  Growth happens to us without our knowledge, it's natural. It's what nature has to offer us.  As you grow, you learn the good and bad and the hard way of life. As you grow, you begin to make certain decisions that could either make or mar your future.  As you grow from childhood to adulthood you begin to see the difference between fantasies and reality, and I guess at this point, you realize that your life all along has been built on fantasies.  When life’s reality hits you hard in the course of your growth, one thing you should never do is underestimate the power you have to take your life in a new direction....

Gratitude

Image
There’s a popular saying that says “You don’t know what you have until you lose it” which strikes me with inner reflection. Am I grateful for what I have? Am I really grateful?  So here's a question from me to you.  Why are you an ungrateful person? Do you think it is by your might and strength that you get to see another day?  Why have you allowed yourself to be thrown into sorrows and anxiety by your inability to be wealthy that you forget to say thank you for the little you have achieved and the breath you have? Must every day of your life be about becoming wealthy and accomplishing greatness? Every now and then you nag and lament over little things. Even when you make and accomplish little you still nag. Obviously, humans are insatiable creatures. Hey, hey, have you gone out? Have you taken your time to visit those in the hospital? Let's not even talk about those in the morgue. Have you been to the street? The bridges, the dustbin? Have you gone out? I don't think so,...
